Kwon's Martial Arts will be hosting 7th Annual Peace & Harmony Invitational Tournament at John Jay Senior High School (2012 NY Route 52, Hopewell Junction NY 12533).
Tae Kwon Do means Kicking, Punching, Discipline – practitioners not only learn kicking and punching, but most importantly they learn Discipline (or way of life). Kwon’s Martial Arts strongly believe Tae Kwon Do
can help children and adult build self-confidence, self-respect,
self-discipline, self-control, perseverance, cooperation and leadership skills. It also builds a sense of pride and “I CAN” attitude toward life, school and career.
Each year Kwon's Martial Arts celebrate student’s achievements in a friendly invitational tournament that is community oriented where children and adult Tae Kwon Do students and leaders participate and compete, demonstrating their hard-earned skills and ever-growing confidence and athleticism.
Kwon's Martial Arts is expanding the venue to include participants from South Korea, Alaska, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York. These clubs travel to Poughkeepsie NY to support this great event and visit our beautiful Hudson Valley region while they and their families are here.
We are seeking scholarship contributions, local sponsorship or in-kind donations for our Peace and Harmony Foundation; a 501 (c) (3) non-profit educational scholarship fund, that benefits Tae Kwon Do students and support community based organizations near and dear to our hearts like The Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse (CPCA), Tae Kwon Do program in our public schools, and more.
